Has It Really Been Over A Year????

     Oh Dear!

I has been WAY too long, my friends.  Leroy has turned 2, therefore officially in the teenager stage.  Very typical of the human teenager stage with all the hormone imbalances creating a frenzy of air-humping madness.  We were trying to wait until he turned 3 years old to get him "fixed" but I think we will schedule an appointment for him this Fall to "curb the urge" so to speak.

(From this point on I will refrain from using quotations around words or phrases to make a point.  It is a rediculous practice but I just can't seem to help myself.)  (I will use these instead.  What ARE these called?)

This is one of my favorite pictures to date.  He carried this stuffy to bed each night for about 6 months.  Then he loved it just a little too much and the tail fell off.  This was followed by the ear and then the stuffing.  R.I.P. Stuffy Puppy.   There have been stuffy bunnies since but they had a chocolate scent to them so he "loved" those way too much as well.  (OOPS!  See what I did there?  So sorry.)  Now there is a stuffed moose but he just leaves it in and around his bed, just as most teens keep their "blankies" around their sleep areas.  (BAH!  I did it again!)

I was home sick from work one day and he wouldn't leave my side.  He is NOT allowed to put that big ol' head on the table but look how cute my puppy-schmuppy is.  With a face like his he sure does get away with a lot.

A Christmas greeting.  He really has no idea I added all of those layers to the picture.  Please don't tell him.  It will hurt his heart.

It is not often that I place my head so close to those lips.  Just from the smell alone I am pretty certain he is harboring some pretty nasty bacteria up in there.  With the amount of jelly that is produced from those jowls I was certainly taking my chances.  I was just trying to get a reference picture so one can witness the enormity of his head.

Yet another reference picture, this time with Megs and punk #2.

He is not allowed in the kitchen when we are cooking.  This is Leroy in one of his finer moments; a full on temper tantrum.  If only there were sound so you could hear the cries of sadness in this moment.

Punk #4 and Leroy having a tete-a-tete after school one day.

Beggars.

He makes an amazing foot-warmer.

You have to look carefully at this one.  Here he is telling me that he was a good boy and didn't go near the tree but if you look closely you can see the drool hanging from the branch in the lower left side of the picture.  There was enough evidence the next day to get a conviction as the glittery ornament that he ate passed right through his system.  It was confiscated, bagged and tagged.  He got off on probation, though.  He had a great lawyer.  He should have served time, really, as he is a repeat offender.  See previous blog post with pictures.

Really?  How can anyone resist?

Seriously!

So very angelic.  I don't remember what he did here but again, he melted my heart and saved himself.

This is what happens when I try to workout at home.  He figures I need the resistance, you know, to build muscle and all.

And there you have it, folks.  A year of updates all in one post.  It really is only a glimpse of life with Leroy as everyday there is something new, crazy, wonderful, stinky, gross, etc...He has grown and become so much dog that we are doing a few renovations to make his and our quality of life so much better; namely a new doorway and a fence for the back yard.  We have an extra door but he will not come back into the house that way as he believes he doesn't fit.  There is no briding him with bacon or peanut butter either.

Here is hoping that sliding doors will not be added to the list of things that Leroy is afraid of.

Lightening bugs
Wind
The hallway
Storm drains
Raspberries or kisses by his ears
The basement
The side door
My Fitbit
Shoes

I'm sure there is more.  :)
